Day 1 – Arrival/Delhi
Meeting and welcome on arrival at Delhi international airport by Royal India Holidays Pvt Ltd representative and escorted to the pre-booked hotel. Check in at the hotel and freshen up.
Day 2 – Arrival/Delhi
After breakfast proceed for sightseeing tour of Old Delhi visiting Red Fort, Jama Masjid, and the narrow streets of Chandini Chowk by a cycle rickshaw. Afternoon you will explore New Delhi and visit Humayun’s Tomb, Qutab Minar, Lotus Temple, India Gate and drive past president’s palace and Indian parliament building.
Day 3 – Delhi/Fly to Varanasi
After breakfast transfer to airport for flight to Varanasi.
You will be met on arrival at Varanasi airport and transfer to your hotel. Afternoon proceed to visit Durga Temple, Bharat Mata Temple, Shri Kashi Vishwanath Mandir, Tulsi Manas Temple and Banaras Hindu University.
Be a witness to a magical evening Aarti on the Ghats of the Holy River Ganges offered by priests. It is an absolute magic with the chanting of Sanskrit mantras, the clash of cymbals and drums, the scent of flowers, incense and sandalwood and the blazing camphor lamp and many flamed Aarti raised high in the air.
Day 4 – Varanasi
Early morning boat ride on the Holy River Ganges to see the different ghats and people offering prayers.
Afternoon drive to the city of Sarnath, the ancient deer park where Gautama Buddha gave his first divine sermon of Dharma, and view the ruins, the stupa, and the Buddhist Temple. Enjoy time at leisure to shop for authentic silks and brocades in the city's bustling bazaars.
Day 5 – Varanasi/Fly to Khajuraho
After breakfast at the hotel you will be transferred to airport for flight to Khajuraho. Meeting and assistance on arrival at Khajuraho airport and transfer to Hotel.
Khajuraho, the name of the town has been derived from a Sanskrit word “Khajura” or date palm. It is a world heritage site and a popular tourist destination has the largest group of Hindu and Jain temples famous for their erotic sculpture.
Spend the Afternoon at the hotel by the pool or in your room to relax. Evening sound and light show at the western group of temple complex.
Day 6 – Khajuraho/Drive to Orchha/Train to Agra
Morning city sightseeing tour of Khajuraho visiting various groups of temples with your guide. Later drive 3.5 hrs to Jhansi railway station to board train to Agra en route visiting Orchha to witness some of the incredible Hindu architecture. Assistance on arrival at Agra railway station and transfer to your hotel for overnight stay.
Day 7 – Agra
Early morning visit to mesmerizing Taj Mahal, the symbol of love, in sunrise. After breakfast visit Agra fort, made of red sandstone on the banks of river Yamuna and a fine example of Mughal architecture. Afternoon visit I’timad-ud-Daulah Tomb. Evening free to explore local market of your own.
Day 8 – Agra/Jaipur
Morning drive to Jaipur, en route visiting Fatehpur Sikri, a historical town built by Akbar where you can see the Bulund Darwaza, the largest gateway in the world, Jama Masjid and the tomb of famous Sufi saint Sheikh Salim Chisti. On arrival at Jaipur check into your hotel for overnight stay.
Day 9 – Jaipur
Morning excursion to Amber fort, the ancient capital of the region with elephant ride. Later city sightseeing tour visiting City Palace – occupies a large are divided into a series of courtyards, gardens and buildings and a perfect blend of Rajasthani and Mughal architecture, Royal Observatory - An observatory with some rare qualities to its credit, Nawab Sahab Ki Haveli - and the Bazaar etc. Evening free to explore the colourful markets and streets.
Day 10 – Jaipur/Delhi/Departure
Morning free to relax in the hotel. Afternoon drive 4 hrs to Delhi International Airport.
